With a degree in Economics from the University of Victoria, Eric is qualified as a Canadian CA and US CPA. He also earned a CPA designation while residing in Hong Kong.

Eric’s diversified career background includes 15 years as an officer in the Canadian Naval Reserve, ten years within public practice, and nearly five years as an accounting and auditing instructor with City University of Hong Kong where he consistently achieved superior teaching evaluations. Eric’s advanced knowledge of international accounting and auditing standards has been instrumental in leading the change to IFRS and ISA. He has served on committees for professional standards monitoring and corporate governance awards, and has a strong track record in the areas of compliance and application of professional standards.

In addition to residing in Hong Kong, Eric spent time in Japan and soon learned the language. For over 20 years, he has been active in Judo at the instructor and competitor levels. Eric is passionate about classic cars (particularly vintage Porsches) and spends his free time doing routine maintenance, extensive rebuilding and restoration. An active volunteer, Eric provides his knowledge to the administration of various clubs.
