Smythe Ratcliffe - Vancouver Chartered Accountants

Born in Mauritius, Hervé moved to London, England at the age of five. Hervé graduated from the University of Manchester, UK with a degree in Accounting and Economics. He holds a Chartered Accountant designation in both England and Canada.

Hervé's background in public practice began with PKF London, and has included working with an extensive group of industries and within large international accounting practices. Throughout his career, he has resided in the UK, Singapore and Hong Kong, before moving to Vancouver. Hervé’s focus in assurance and advisory business services has been with international businesses with a particular emphasis in life science and technology companies utilizing his extensive knowledge of Canadian and US GAAP and SOX requirements.

An avid runner, Hervé has competed in a multitude of 10K runs and marathons. He sits on the parent auxiliary of his daughter’s high school and has served as Finance Chair, Board Member and Treasurer for a variety of associations.
